MINOR FACTIONS

     Zsinj's Empire

The strongest warlord to emerge from the Empire's collapse. His territory currently includes nearly a quarter of the entire Imperial Remnant, and has an accordingly vast fleet. Unlike most other Warlords, Zsinj's Empire is founded upon a functioning government and economy, and given that this territory has thus far weathered the Galactic Civil War nearly untouched, many expect a wave of expansionism as the Warlord begins to form a new empire all his own.

     The Chiss Ascendancy

An isolationist people deep in the Unknown Regions, the Chiss hold a fair-sized and slowly-growing slice of territory. They are modern, well-organized and powerful. Currently they are engaged in a conflict with an empire from deeper in the Unknown Regions, which they are handily beating.

     Kaplan's Remnant

Holding onto a territory at the very edges of Unknown Space, Kaplan's territory is not sizeable but the faction is well-organized and surprisingly strong. Some rumors point to the involvement of this Remnant in the ongoing disappearance of many of the Empire's best and brightest.

     Black Sun

A criminal consortium tied so closely to the Empire that it might as well have been a Black Ops unit, the Black Sun has had a controversial history, with leaders at times overstepping their boundaries. With the Emperor’s death, they have transformed into a more traditional criminal enterprise, though one with access to cutting-edge gear and training.

     Hapes Consortium

A cluster of 63 star systems surrounded by a thick, nearly unnavigable nebula called the Transitory Mists, the Hapes Consortium is a minor power within the Inner Rim. Ruled by Queen-Mother Ta’a Chume, the formerly isolationistic power has begun to send scout ships out, and form tentative contact with nearby sectors.

     Zann Consortium

Founded by former imperial cadet Tyber Zann, the Consortium is a force for chaos and corruption in the galaxy. Growing out of the ashes of the fallen Hutt Cartel, the Consortium grew rapidly in power, absorbing much of the Hutt’s former power base and turning their holdings and resources into a widespread, insidious network whose reach grows by the day.
